Mexico Duck and Quail Combo
The tremendous grain producing valley in the state of Tamilipas Mexico has created a near perfect habitat for both Waterfowl and Bobwhite Quail. This wintering ground to thousands of ducks and geese provides consistent shooting from November though mid February. Also, due to this near perfect habitat, Bobwhite Quail thrive and therefore some of the best wild quail shooting in the world is available. One can expect to flush 18 20 coveys each day.
In the morning you will hunt ducks from comfortable blinds with decoys in the shallow areas of dead timber in freshwater ponds. You will also have the opportunity to hunt on the Laguna Madre, which winters thousands of Redheads and Pintails each year. After lunch and a short siesta you will hunt Bobwhite Quail.
Your hunt will originate in Harlingen, Texas where you will be met by our English-speaking representative, assisted through customs and then transported by van to the lodge. Upon arriving at the lodge, lunch will be served prior to your afternoon hunt. After a good nights rest, you will awake to an American Style breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, toast, coffee and juice. Meals are fantastic, featuring steaks, quail, fish, Mexican cuisine, and all the trimmings. Complimentary refreshments consisting of wine, beer, margaritas, soft drinks and bottled water are served with each dinner. Hor' d'oeuvres such as nachos, quesedillas and bacon wrapped doves are served each day. Accommodations are based on double occupancy and each room has a private bath and shower. All rooms are air conditioned and heated for your personal comfort.
This package as described includes three days of hunting, bilingual host from arrival to departure, all ground transportation from Harlingen, TX to the lodge, meals, lodging, refreshments, guides, Mexican hunting license, the use of Beretta shotguns and the processing of your birds. The package does not include gratuities, personal items, long distance phone calls or shotgun shells.
